I Did It Creations Challenge #87 (DT)

MERRY MEET, BLESSED YULETIDE, MERRY CHRISTMAS, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
I am honored, happy & flattered that you took some time on this holiday to visit my lil' Blog!

I think we may be the only DT with a challenge today, but I could be wrong.
This week's challenge over at IDIC
is
"A Gingerbread Christmas"

our sponsor this week is
Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and more
The prize this week is
1 digital image from Robyn's Fetish store of the winner's choice
or
2 digital images if the winner USES one of Robyn's images.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge, as for some reason I have always liked Gingerbread decorations, I also knew that this would be the card I would send to my Mom!
Robyn has a large selection of Gingerbread images, I'll definitely be getting some more for myself in the future.

Here is my Card using Robyn's image;

Jack frosty :)

Here's a card for  I DID IT CREATIONS snowman challenge!

I used this FABULOUS snowman, which is free from SLIEJKE'S digi images.  I just love that he is feeding birdseed to the little chickadees!

 Sentiment from DIGI DOODLE shop
Card stock and the Navy Swirl paper is from STAMPIN' UP
Crimson snowflake paper under sentiment is from CLOUD 9
Big paper rose rec'd as a rak, the little layer flowers from K & CO., the one little paper flower I put it together from punched flowers also rec'd as a rak. Added a gem.
Red Tulle, and burgundy ribbon from my stash.
DOODLEBUG DESIGN Sugar coating glitter, and the big plastic snowflakes are from FAVORITE FINDINGS
Image and sentiment colored with PRISMACOLOR pencils and blending pencil. White Enamel Accents by RANGER used for the snow on the letters and the furry part of the hat and scarf on the snowman.

I believe this does fulfill  other challenges, and will be looking into that...I am out of time for today, LOL!

I hope you enjoyed my FROSTY :)

Be well,
Susan

Happy 70th Birthday...

To my hubster Ron!! ( Sunday)  My sweet grump in his usual form didn't want any hoopla! However, I indeed made in a card to note how I felt honored to have been with him for 27 of his birthdays :)

Occasionally I give more detail or embellishments on his cards, but he always says make it simple and safe for fancy stuff for your swaps or etsy (...if you ever actually do it, LOL)

so to me, this is a CAS card.

I cheated and scanned it, and while it looked great the other night when I edited it, now, I see the white is a bit red tinted. That is what happens when your Comp. monitor is on it's way out and you are on pain meds, LOL! (don't hold it against me)

Ok onto the deets!
Real red card stock by STAMPIN' UP, white card stock by GEORGIA-PACIFIC, printed paper...old scraps. Black German scraps by COLLAGE STUFF, I used MARTHA STEWART'S half daisy border punch (for lack of remembering it's real name)  down the outside edge of the card, and attached a strip of the black small plaid paper under it to be even with the back edge of the card. then then I used the same black small plaid paper  (a strip) over a wider strip of red checked paper behind the image and the sentiment. The German Scrap is running down the folded side of the card.
The "country Path" image(a country path or road that leads to a farm in the distance, at the front of the path are wild orchids)* is colored with markers by STAMPIN' UP.  I used white Enamel accents by RANGER to fill in the open holes of the daisy border punch and I put a dot on each corner of the image, it almost looks like brads (the scanner flattened them a bit more than I wanted but...)
"Country Path" digi image by DIGI DOODLE SHOP
The sentiment is by RAINDROP ECHO DESIGNS:
"A birthday is just the first day of another 365 day journey around the sun" it comes with a smaller..."enjoy the journey" which I placed on the inside left of the card, as I did my own writing on the inside right.*

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Victorine Stamps ...Birthday
KB Cute Mondays ...use a digi
