Welcome to Day 17 of the 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN, as well as day 17 of the COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN, and Day 17 of THE REAL WITCHES OF HALLOWEEN.
part of my countdown
Most of my adult life, I have been the person in ANY group, that would draw the short straw, so to speak. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any...true, really. One of my friends, when I was involved with Girl Scouts (for several years) said, "Ya Know Sue, if there was ever to be an Alien Abduction in Ocean County, it would be you." See, even my friends knew it. Not to say that I never have anything good happen to me, but it is waaaay lopsided.
To this end, I find I can relate to a certain childhood character, ESPECIALLY at this time of year. I even use one of his lines quite frequently.
I am talking about the line "I gotta rock." To show how true this really is. My own children, have been known to tell their friends "my mom got the rock." or to me, "Mom, you always get the rock."
For the most part, I laugh about it now, and so do they. We've come to accept, that we will always be the family that has weird or bad stuff happen to.
I feel "I GOTTA ROCK", is now my Badge of Honor.

Background paper by PINK PAISLEE, Image by DEZINAWORLD,
October 31rst stamp by STUDIO G (in a small 1 dollar clear set) the moon and bats is from a $1 clear set bought at JOANN'S. Both of these set were part of a group of 10 sets a friend picked up for me, as there are no Joann's near me. I stamped both with black craft ink by STAMPIN' UP, and then embossing black EP also by STAMPIN' UP, the mini bling rows are from RECOLLECTIONS. I used Liquid Pearls, Stickles, and Black Enamel Accents from RANGER
I love the black cat sitting on her hat! I hope you enjoy this as well :)entered in:
