Wearing of the Green

just a fun little tag I made for a challenge hosted by ROBIN'S FETISH over at THE CRAFTERS CAFE ning group

We had to use "green and at least one shamrock" on the tag as well as this adorable
"LUCKY LEPRECHAUN" image that was given to us for free.

I used 3 shades of green mulberry paper under our lil leprechaun(who is on foam tape), and some shiny punchinella from SKYBLUEPINK on a pale orange tag, from GOMAKESOMETHING.COM (I changed the colored). The border is lots of shamrock sequence!  The leprechaun is colored with STAMPIN' UP markers, the sentiment is computer generated (font by SCRAPPIN' FONTS), and a lovely mixture of green fibers. The tag is approx. 2.5" X 5", and double layered for sturdiness.

I only have a little "Scotch-Irish" in me, so I really don't celebrate St. Pat's day.  because of this I offered this tag to other players in the challenge, if they would like it for scrapping or just in general...first to ask will receive it, so far no takers...that being said I will put the same offer out to my REGULAR,steady followers. If you would like it email me. First one gets it!

SMUDGEFEST DAY 6 -SKETCHY SATURDAY

Hello and welcome to the 6th day of SMUDGEFEST.

Today we had a sketch to use:

Here is my Take:

Card stock by STAMPIN' UP, Printed paper by Die CUTS WITH A VIEW (DCWV), 7GYPYS, and Matte Metallic scrap from an envelope. Tim Holtz's Distress Inks by RANGER, Border punch and embosser by MARTHA STEWART, Enamel Accents by RANGER, Bat Skeleton Digi by SMEARED INK, loose vellum bones by MARTHA STEWART, Large eyelets by WE ARE MEMORY KEEPERS, Sentiment  computer generated with Scrapbones font by SCRAPnFONTS.

I border punched the front edge of the CS and then attached a piece of the green scrollwork paper behind it and to the same edge as the back of the card, then distressed it  and the card front edges with Black Soot.
The Bat skelly image is actually on white card stock, it was covered with Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint.
I hope you like it :)

another page for my dark journal

I have tried at least 4 times to get good photos of this, and it is just not happening, my apologies, what you see is the best I was able to get.

It is hard to tell but on the Mummy, and on the title (My Family Sucked the Life out of Me) I have RANGER's rock candy crackle distress paint. On the Sub-title (I Was a Good Mummy. Really I Was) there is diamond glaze. It is also floated above the page on roam tape. Both titles, computer generated by me with Transylvania font from SCRAPPINFONTS.
Background paper is the graveyard paper from MARTHA STEWART, which has some of the tombstones shiny enamel, misc black card stock, white card stock by GEORGIA-PACIFIC, Stamps- CLOSE TO MY HEART--Halloween Dingbats. Edged with MOMENTO Tuxedo black ink.Misc.- safety pins, that smudged a bit of black STAZ-ON ink on, Black string beads. White grosgrain ribbon by STAMPIN' UP.
The back, which has more space for writing, misc. gray card stock. Printed paper by PRIMA MARKETING. Again, edged with MOMENTO Tuxedo Black ink. The end of the black bead string tied in a knot, and glued in place
close-ups shot on  the macro setting
