DAY 3- 31 Days of Halloween, Countdown to halloween, Real witches of Halloween

 Electronic candle anyone?

I made a "Votive boat",  but I shrunk it down for a battery operated Tea light. I do believe I should have made it a 1/2" taller.

The orange textured vellum I rec'd ages ago as a RAK, The ribbon is also an oldie roll of Halloween ribbon from my stash. I took the wire out of it.  The haunted house stamp is one of those $1 stamps from MICHAEL'S. I used Black STAZ-ON ink. then I smeared Cat eye fluid chalk ink in Charcoal by COLORBOK, along the edges.

Several views with different settings on the camera.

a Tip: Plumber's metal adhesive tape (can be purchased in Walmart) sadly only comes in one width (perhaps wider in actual plumbing supply stores, I do not know)  works wonderfully in embossing folders!
and I recently found out that so does duct tape, check out this video (thanks Alex for sharing this):

I'll try to show a creation with the plumbers tape within this coming week.

:)Have a great day!

a couple of Tags

This first tag is for Dude Time Doodles
we had to use the digi they supplied...Gavin Ghost and use him in a humorous way.
This is my first time playing with them, I think this tag fills the bill:
card stock was plain ivory, part of a 12 x 12 sheet I used several  TATTERED ANGELS' shimmering mists on. Cut with the original SIZZIX Super Traditional Tag. Cats Eye fluid Chalk inks by COLORBOK, sponged and smeared on tag, and a little on Gavin. Gavin was colored with PRISMACOLOR pencils and blending pencil.
"Don't Pull My Chain!" computer generated with type writer key font, individual letters cut out with a 1/4 circle punch by STAMPIN' UP. Gavin is Coated in Glow-in-the-Dark MOD PODGE. The letters are elevated on foam dots.
Misc. ribbons, old jewelry chains, and 2 types of Punchinella from SKYBLUEPINK.

Second Tag is one I just felt like making:

The Chinese Lantern digi  and the Moment sentiment(Moment-a brief, indefinite interval of time. This moment counts!) are both from TLC Creations.
Misc. fibers and ric-rac used for top of tag.

and continuing :)

This one is Challenge # 2 with Sheila

To make a fishbowl on your card (I photographed this particular cards 5-6 pics at a time 4 times before I could get a "non-blurry" picture. I have to figure out what the issue is, as I have tried multiple settings)

All card stock is STAMPIN' UP(Yo-Yo Yellow and Elegant Eggplant), patterned paper is actually part of a package, I used an EK SUCCESS 3" circle punch to make my fish bowl, floated above card on foam tape, 2 misc. buttons, yellow, orange, & green baker's twine, CAT'S EYE fluid chalk ink to make the look of the glass, and the filled water, big brush markers by FABER-CASTELL, Digi image and sentiment by STUDIO 313

I used the photo, first I took it down to Black & White, printed out, and then I printed out the color version. I cut out certain pieces of the photo, especially the flag from the color photo, and used foam tape to place them on top of the black and white photo.
