THE GAME Challenge #4...HOPSCOTCH

Hello everyone, as you know my husband is in the hospital, well actually now he is in the convalescent center for in house PT. He starts today...YEA!!  I was planning on sitting this challenge out, as i am exhausted and due to the amount of driving and walking I am doing everyday, my pain level has been quite high in the knee, and back. However one of our other DT members had to sit this one out, so I didn't want us to be down by 2.

Anyway...

This Week at
we are playing
HOPSCOTCH (with a twist of course)

You are to create something you can hang on the wall or a door, it must be no smaller than 4" X 4".

Write down the 8 items and toss them in a bowl (hat).
Pick  out two from your hat (bowl). You will use those 2 items in that number. You of course, may use other items in your creation, but you MUST use the items you chose.

example:   you got 7 brads and 2 die-cuts, that means you must use 2 die cuts and 7 brads on your creation. Be sure to say what the items were that you chose, in your post.

Here is the Board:

The items I "drew" were: 2 die cuts and 3 textures.
My wall hanging is 5" X 7"

All the papers are digi papers from DEZINAWORLD, DIGI DESIGN RESORT and the third I can not remember (red flower) The stamps are CLOSE TO MY HEART.  I used Black Staz-on ink, because I used glossy paper...but it actually stuck to the paper, and pulled the color up with it as it finally let go...I have NEVER had this happen, I am thinking it is because it is a clear stamp and not rubber. So I had to line up the sentiment 3 times to get it dark enough, and sadly on the 3rd time, it moved.   so it was slightly double exposed, and then there was missing black...so i had to fill in with a sharpie. I am upset over it, but I'm keeping this so it doesn't matter much. (I am thinking of stamping it on blank paper trimming it and covering it up though...but that of course will take away from the background I think.
The same thing happened with the vine border, but I think it looks ok.
Here are my 2 die cuts- Tattered Flowers Tim Holtz die for SIZZIX, I embossed each one with a different embossing folder (2 of my 3 textures)
The 3rd texture is paint that I mixed with crushed lava rock gel medium, I dabbed it on instead of brushing it on to make it lumpy also...so there is 2 textures in 1, HA!
The lovely girl image is from TLC CREATIONS.

PLEASE visit THE GAME
and play
HOPSCOTCH
with us this challenge!

Robyn's Fetish Challenge #99- Easel Cards

Happy Sunday! Our daffodils are up, and some Hyacinths, and the pollen is striking already! LOL  :) The weather this past week has been wonderful!...MY kind of weather...sunny and hovering around 70...a couple days were very windy, and a couple of days it was overcast and a bit of rain but the temps were mild. It can stay between 68-78 all year, and I would be thrilled! I hope all of you are fine, and not too many hangovers out there following St. Pat's day!  We had a lovely corned beef and cabbage dinner. ( I LOVE corned beef) I hope you all enjoyed St. Pat's day in whatever fashion you like to.

ok, let's get down to business :)

a couple of Tags

This first tag is for Dude Time Doodles
we had to use the digi they supplied...Gavin Ghost and use him in a humorous way.
This is my first time playing with them, I think this tag fills the bill:
card stock was plain ivory, part of a 12 x 12 sheet I used several  TATTERED ANGELS' shimmering mists on. Cut with the original SIZZIX Super Traditional Tag. Cats Eye fluid Chalk inks by COLORBOK, sponged and smeared on tag, and a little on Gavin. Gavin was colored with PRISMACOLOR pencils and blending pencil.
"Don't Pull My Chain!" computer generated with type writer key font, individual letters cut out with a 1/4 circle punch by STAMPIN' UP. Gavin is Coated in Glow-in-the-Dark MOD PODGE. The letters are elevated on foam dots.

SMUDGEFEST-day 2 "Terrifying Tuesday"

Today's challenge over at SMUDGY ANTICS is to use the the scariest stamp or image you have from SMEARED INK.  I only have a handful, so that was tough for me, but I think I came close.
I am also entering this Card in the "anything goes" challenge at:
  CRAFT YOUR PASSION
Allsorts challenges
Come and Get it challenges
Inspire me Fridays
Digis with Attitude! #32
Digi Doodle Shop Challenges
Craft us Crazy

I also combined this challenge with the one at "Do You Stack Up?" To use brown, orange and yellow.

I APOLOGIZE for the image being crooked and shadow-y darker-ness in the corner where the dead birds (they are raised on foam squares)are...I scanned the card and took the coward's way out, LOL!  Lately 90% of the photos I take of my creations really suck, so...back to the scanner for now. Plus today was a really bad day for me all around.

Ok, hope you like it:

"SORRY, I couldn't wait for Dinner!!"

Sunflower Yellow, Only orange and Chocolate Chip card stock by STAMPIN' UP, Markers also by SU.
SMEARED INK digis- "Anya" from the Glam Vamps collection, and RIP bird.
Sentiment computer generated using the "Halloween HodgePodge" font.
Embossing folder by TIM HOLTZ for SIZZIX
Misc gold paint pen, and foam squares used under the birds.

I colored the birds in such a way as to look like the Vamp ripped into their chest to get the heart and all the blood.
I left "Anya's skin white, as vamps are supposed to be pretty close to Albinos...I even shadowed her in palest blue, finger tips, toes and lips are all blue, and then there is "cherry cobbler" marker used for the blood on her and on the birds.
