Alphabe-Thursday(late)

come on over to Jenny's Place   to read lots of interesting "E" things

My "E" post is lying somewhere in my brain in Limbo! I know that is not a good thing, but I have been kind of caught up in many a Halloween blog party, and also, have NOT been able to get to a store or stores to get the the rest of the stuff I need to be able to take pictures Friday night under the full moon, to be able to post to the "under the full moon Tea party" for Saturday. This is all I have so far:

and in the dark

I also have some autumn garland, and a whole 2 plastic cubes full of autumn berries and squashes and pumpkins etc, I also have what tea up and saucer I'll be using. (love my bubbling cauldron, it steams real cool, and changes colors) But I need to get some other spooky stuff, and some food items.
But not having a car for my own use, and being at the mercy of my son, (lazy) and hubby (hates to go back out after coming home from work) has totally cramped my style. I'd drive myself, but it has been a bad week pain wise, and I have pretty much been taking a Vicodin at least once a day for the past week,

I know you are asking, OKAY WHERE is the "E"???

The E is for ENCOURAGEMENT, or in my case the LACK OF.

I am earnestly upset with everyone in my family, right now. I know, that they know I was quite excited about the Halloween blog parties.  I love Halloween, an all the spooky, evil, witchy, devilish fun it generally generates!  We have not had Halloween in this home in several years, and even stopped putting out Jack-o-lanterns or candy 3 years ago. We lived out in the woods and over 25 years the most T/Ters we ever got was 12 and the least...3 years ago-2. so we gave up.

I made a commitment, you know an engagement to be a part of this blog party on Saturday. I HAVE to find a way to follow through, as it is one of MY pet peeves (when people do not follow through on their commitments) even with "swaps" when I was so ill with the MRSA and in a hospital bed(July 2005), I made my daughter bring in some of my stuff, and with a cast on my left lower arm and an IV in my right arm I worked on my swaps that were coming due soon.  Just to show you how I follow through on my commitments.

This is EASILY something that is causing me much anxiety right now.  The edginess, is only adding to my insomnia.  I am determined to end up with something I can present as a decent "full moon tea party" post, or at least an equitable facsimile!  Perhaps, you'll even like to visit my blog Saturday evening.   I will leave you with the link for all the Tea party revelers, just in case.

I wish you all an ENCHANTED week!!

This is my third post for this Halloween spectacular!! I told you yesterday I'd have more info on "Maskers" which came prior to "Trick or Treating" here in the US. Additionally, like the pre-party I have some Halloween art I made.

First let's find out about MASKERS!!

 I Got A ROCK!!

Some more spooky art for your enjoyment!
These are miniature "dwellings" made from double microscope slide mailers, The center divider for between the slides as been removed on the insides. Truly these pictures do not do them justice.

This one is Called "Vampire's Night"

 The inside
This is "Extra, Extra"
The inside, could not  get a good shot on these 2 sides no matter what I did. sorry.
The one side is the "Advertisement"
This side is the Angel Statuary
Lastly, My favorite one; "Witches 3"
2 views of front, not sure which I like better
I wrote the little poem myself--

                           BEWARE!!(up by the lantern)

You are entering the lair
Of the Witches Three.
To them you will
Be a specimen, see?
More Terrifying than
Hell it will be!
Be gone from here
You did not see me!

 "my heart lies bleeding"
The Heart (with Ranger's crackle paint in fired brick)
3 Witches with a man sitting limply in a chair, I put the same paint on his chest and let it drip down
There is a transparency over the witches side with a stamped spider web on it.

Hope you like them :)

PLEASE do NOT forget to visit the 2 previous posts...a pre-party post, and the MAIN party post which has a giveaway!!   Be well, Susan

Something fun...an oldie but a goodie!

My little Halloween table just for me outside (preparing for next week's Tea Party under the moon--which will have a lot more on it)
Flash-above, no flash below
It was very windy here last night, the candles would not stay lit
now some close ups etc.
Bubbling Cauldron-above, Jack-o-Lantern-below (artificial pumpkin, my son carved 3 Halloweens ago, we all made one)
The cauldron changes colors
I love my new "Toy" LOL

I live in New Jersey (USA). New Jersey is CHOCK FULL of history, some very weird, haunting and bizarre. We had true Pirates here back in the day. The most famous Bizarre legend is that of "The Jersey Devil".
Check it out here: The Jersey Devil
some images of the Jersey Devil:
The Most Common Image
Below--see the creature in the tree, close up next to it
Below, the creature chasing after a deer, is it a doctored pic? I have no idea
 An Artist's rendering

I saw the beast My senior year in HS, driving around in the woods with friends, everyone always used to ask us if we were High, -in fact we were NOT! LOL   We only saw the head and the upper part of one wing as he was behind some brush. It was cool.  I also saw a UFO my senior year, in fact half the people in the town I was living in, saw it that night, it was all over the school the next day, and on the radio etc. But then quite abruptly, the story was no longer on the radio or in  the papers....Gov't cover-up???? hhhmmmmm

OK, so are you in the mood for scary stories?

I hope so, because I have something to share with one lucky commenter.
 Here is my SURPRISE!!
The Book is New Jersey Haunts (BN, bought for this party) and a mini book lite so you can read in the dark to make it scarier!!

2 rules to win, very simple:

Comment on this post, telling me what you thought of it, AND tell me who the surprise guest star is in the above segment of the Addams Family show...hint, it is the short-ish fellow. (drawing 9pm est 10/22)

Good Luck all my Pretties!

Friday Fun...lead-in to Tomorrow's Magical Halloween Blog Party(altered art thursday)

This is taking the place of Altered Art Thursdays.

Sadly I do not decorate for Halloween any more, or any Holidays for that matter. As I can never get any help, Hubby is a grumble bear and my Son could careless. We actually stopped putting out Jack-O-Lanterns 2 years ago. We were tired of buying candy and whatever else I would buy for the T/Ts and then have no one knock on the door. We stopped buying candy, and hubby said if we decorate, someone will show up, and you'll be there empty handed. I guess he has a valid point. (we live in the woods, and for 25 years the most kids we ever got was 12, the least-3 years ago-2)

BUT...I still love Halloween and join swaps and make stuff. So the next 2-3 days I will be sharing my Halloween Art and some pictures. Perhaps a surprise or 2.  :)

Here are some Halloween Gothic Arches I made for a swap, 2 views each. We are swapping 5, the 6th one is for the hostess. I made 7 so I get one of my own.

3D images, and crackle glaze used on the bottle with the bird in it. Titled "Modern Witch"

This is one I am keeping for myself...I love the crossed goblets charm (rec'd as a rak) Titled "Sisters forever"

The foil raven is 3D, i covered the entire arch in crackle glaze...the quote says: "The vampire's Strength is that people do not believe in him." called: "The Vampire's Strength"

Milagros eyes over her own, added the wings, and crackle glaze to the wings. Edgar Allen Poe line says: "The death of a beautiful woman is unquestionably the most poetic topic in the world" titled: "Beauty in Death"

Hand drawn trees, grass,  broken out window and spider's web. Crystal skull bead in window sill holding a drawn candle.  This is called "Haunted Teenage Hang out"

This is "Witch-in-training" 3D elements include raised Book of shadows and pumpkin, plastic witch's boot, 2 crystal skull beads

In "Bad Moon Rising" the glow from her lamp and the "skull in the moon" has glow-in-the-dark Mod podge over them. 3D coffin, painted black with a sacred heart Milagros.

I hope you like my arches :) and they help to add to your Halloween mood.

Did I mention I would have a giveaway for this party? I didn't, well there will be one. It will be shown on Tomorrow's actual Party post. (don't I always have a giveaway during blog hops? but of course!) MHUUUHAHAHAHAAAA!!!
