Wind-down from the Enchanted and Magical Halloween party

Still Party-ing with Vanessa at Fanciful Twist

This is my third post for this Halloween spectacular!! I told you yesterday I'd have more info on "Maskers" which came prior to "Trick or Treating" here in the US. Additionally, like the pre-party I have some Halloween art I made.

First let's find out about MASKERS!!

http://www.boingboing.net/2009/11/26/thanksgiving-maskers.html

Here are some maskers on a "Penny Scramble"

 I Got A ROCK!!

Some more spooky art for your enjoyment!
These are miniature "dwellings" made from double microscope slide mailers, The center divider for between the slides as been removed on the insides. Truly these pictures do not do them justice.

This one is Called "Vampire's Night"

 The inside
This is "Extra, Extra"
The inside, could not  get a good shot on these 2 sides no matter what I did. sorry.
The one side is the "Advertisement"
This side is the Angel Statuary
Lastly, My favorite one; "Witches 3"
2 views of front, not sure which I like better
I wrote the little poem myself--

                           BEWARE!!(up by the lantern)

You are entering the lair
Of the Witches Three.
To them you will
Be a specimen, see?
More Terrifying than
Hell it will be!
Be gone from here
You did not see me!

 "my heart lies bleeding"
The Heart (with Ranger's crackle paint in fired brick)
3 Witches with a man sitting limply in a chair, I put the same paint on his chest and let it drip down
There is a transparency over the witches side with a stamped spider web on it.

Hope you like them :)

PLEASE do NOT forget to visit the 2 previous posts...a pre-party post, and the MAIN party post which has a giveaway!!   Be well, Susan

I'm so impressed with your artwork (and your poetry!)
I have tried and just do not have the knack for collage type art, but I LOVE checking it out.

Hi Susan,

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog for the Halloween party and for your very nice comment!

To answer your question, my little houses are not made from polymer clay, but from an air drying modeling clay and painted with acrylics.

I'm off visiting your other party posts!

Hi Susan :) I loved your Halloween posts. I've seen a UFO before too, when I was in 8th grade. My best friend and I both saw it actually. Love your art work too by the way :) Also, I guess I missed the package delivery the other day but I went to the post office today and my giveaway prize was waiting for me. I LOVE everything in it!! Thank you so much for the generous gift :) I really REALLY appreciate it!

Tis I again... I'm thinking about the size of my slides, which only adds to the awesomeness of what you created considering how small some of those pieces must have been! I'm totally digging the imagination. I think your use of the crackle paint was wickedly original. I'm not an angel girl, but that statue is actually one of my favs just cause of the sadness emanating from it and I love how you used it in your piece. And I'm totally grinning at your poem and be gone'ing to the next post as I play catch up. I can't comment on the you know who as I didn't see him..erm.. it. I have no idea if IT was a him. Wait! What? There was something there? Where?!?!? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Off I go!
