Le Mysterieux Carnival-- The Psychic Palate

****this post will remain at the top of this blog until Saturday Oct 13, PLEASE scroll down for new posts****

Good Morning and welcome one and all!
I am Esmeralda, it is my pleasure to serve you :)

However, my assistant is ill today, so I am working on my own. My Booth is still not ready for visitors, but I will be ready for readings and late lunch and dinner later on. Please come back as I will be having some giveaways and a freebie!
Please Take this silver admittance ticket so you will be allowed to roam freely among the carnival!
Here is the invite also so you can visit all the booths, sideshows, rides, attractions and other glorious frivolities.

I would like to thank our owners and hosts:
Frosted Petunias and Incipient Wings

I will be back shortly with my booth and offerings!

Good Afternoon and welcome to
THE PSYCHIC PALATE!!

Are you brave enough for a reading?

After all this is a MYSTERIOUS carnival. Do not fear, the karma here is good and your Aura is bright with life and energy!
There is much we can do here for you, try to contact lost loved ones, a tarot reading. Answer some direct questions. Let's not forget to have a bite to eat either.
We can try and summon an ancestor or lost loved one, perhaps. We need to meditate on only that person, and stare into this Scrying mirror.
Sometimes a Crystal ball will do the same thing, or show something coming up in your future, or Someone coming!
If your mind is clear and your energy high, we can try to use the moonstone pendulum, and ask some direct questions.

We can have a bite to eat first if you like.

this all seeing eye pie, is lime- mmmm!

This Fickle finger of FATE cake is a confectioners dream!
(and a secret family recipe)

Something more nutritious?
we have three kind of HANDwiches today:
Chicken and Cranberry salad
Egg Salad
and
Smoked Turkey and Lorraine Swiss
with tomato & onion Guacamole
I find this fare to work wonderfully with the body for doing psychic work!
My energy is a bit low right now, from all work putting my booth up and preparing the food, as I said my assistant is not with me today.  Not to fear, Esmeralda has everything under control, and you will see me later filled with life, energy and love!

If you need something to help calm your nerves before a reading try one of our fantastic
BLACK WIDOW MARTINIs
Be sure to use a napkin, as to not dirty the cards or pendulum.

Ahhh, here is my last visitor. See how satisfied he looks?
Mr. Pico had a lunch of turkey and chicken salad, and a sample lick or two of the martini. This was followed up with a tarot reading which was much to his liking.

AH, ok a Martini to go, so you can get your courage up. That is fine, please come back soon and have a sandwich or a piece of pie.

I'll share something with you, a secret...

When the tents come down and the animals are caged, and it is time for the carnival to move on, one of my lucky visitors will receive this Halloween Carnival ACEO and the large Esmeralda image colored and finished.

This post will remain at the top of my blog for a week, a winner will be chosen on Saturday night  (10-13) at approx midnight.

In the meantime something for all my visitors:

Black Widow Martinis
prep time: 10 minutes
start to finish 10 minutes
servings: 3  (I only got 2...but they are big glasses)
3/4 cup pomegranate or grape juice
2 tbsp course sugar
ice cubes
1/2 cup vodka
1/4 raspberry liqueur
1/8 tsp black paste food color
3 or more plastic spider rings

1. pour 1 tbsp of the juice on a small plate. In the center of another plate sprinkle the course sugar. Turn martini glass upisde down in the juice and cover all of the rim, let it drip there a bit. Once covered dip the rim of the glass in the course sugar. Spinning it back and forth or moving it around until it is covered. Repeat with other glasses.

2. Fill shaker with Ice, add remaining juice, vodka, liqueur, and food color. Shake well. Strain from mixer into glasses. Garnish with spider rings.

*For a spookier looking glass dip the rim in red course(decorator) sugar
MINE:  I used Grape juice & Pomegranate liqueur
also:  my supermarket did NOT carry course sugar, so I didn't even look for the paste food color, I went into A. C. Moore (like Michael's) and got the sugar and thick gel food coloring in the Wilton's section.
 ************************************************
ALL SEEING EYE PIE aka Jello light n fruity pie
1 box 3oz. jello (I use sugar free)
1 8oz. container of cool whip thawed (NOW I use sugar free)
1 graham cracker crust
2/3 c boiling water
2 cups ice cubes

Place jello into a medium mixing bowl, boil the water, stir the jello and water until dissolved.  Add in the 2 cups ice cubes, keep stirring and mixing around. The jello will begin to thicken, when it reaches it's maximum thickness, remove the left over ice cubes. Fold in the cool whip, keep folding until the jello and cool whip are well mixed, drop and spoon into the crust. refrigerate until ready to serve.
* This ALWAYS goes over big, I usually make 2 at once...Lime and Orange are our family's fav flavors.
 ***********************************************

I hope you enjoyed your visit here at my booth, the next time you see me I'll be full of color!
Much Love and Light upon you!
xoxo,
Esmeralda

Thanks for visiting!
Many Blessings upon you,
Susan

If you can pull all of this off without assistance, and I am sure while checking in on the assistant's well being too, you are a miracle worker! I loved the refreshments and your reading gave me peace and encouragement.

Dearest Susan,
I enjoyed visiting The Psychic Palate.
I must say that my fortune was very accurate. My question of Will I lose weight was not just no but definitely NO!. I assume it was because I had to have a bite of every goodie on the table. It was a wonderful time.
I am running a little late for my party but I would love for you to visit.
