Thursday--Altered Art (late)

Here are some items I've been working on the last few weeks.

you already saw my bird pages (get swapped)  here is the cover page I keep for myself.(This is the Maya Road Bird coaster book) BTW this bird cover as well as the pages from a couple of weeks ago, would fulfill Sir Stampalot's September's challenge for distressing, but the bird pages were actually made in August, so they do not count. However this cover bird does!:
here is the front :)
this one is more to show the shimmer and shine.

Here is the back :)
You probably noticed I put the wing on upside down on the back, I liked it better this way for how I used the all the mediums I used. I used sand paper. paint, ink, several different specialty and hand made papers, tar gel medium(mixed with the paint) Tattered Angels glimmer mists, chalk, some distress stickles, and obviously feathers.

Here are Altered Puzzle pieces, it is a swap I am hosting with BIG puzzle pieces from a kids game. each person will end up with 2 pieces that fit together in the same main color and theme. My themes to make were Orange/Halloween and Hot Pink/Rock n Roll, now there are 2 other artists, with the same color/theme to send to the lady(s) meant to get them.

I will be receiving 2 pieces from 2 different artists in White/Snow Day theme.

Ok here are mine:

I am showing several angles so you can see all that I added, epoxy stickers. Torn strips of Heavy hand made Black mulberry paper.

Some bling gems, and K& co. 3D paper bat stickers, tiny dot German scrap in purple. A brad and fancy ric-rac. The words "spells" and "sung" off an old scrap of wordy paper, a resin purple, green and silver witch. Lastly a scrap of orange with red scribbles on it paper for the Bkgd.

Here is the Rock n Roll one:

The Bkgd. paper is from DCWV Rock Queen Mat Stack. The border sticker I got in Mike's for a Buck, it is like felt or fleece and self stick.
The Guitar and Music notes bling is by Jolees. The other Bling is by Prima.

I raised up one of the hearts, and a skull and cross bones on foam tape.

I hope the recipient's like them. what do you think?
:)

Your creations are so interesting and creative. I wish I could let go and get creative like that and stretch beyond my norm. That's exactly what makes the puzzle pieces so interesting. I love the bird, just beautiful.

Hugs...Tracy :)
