IT is that time of the week again, and I had something else in mind for "J" but then I read something, and decided to do something different. (be sure to click above to visit some other wonderful J's!)
The LETTER J

is for
the JETSONS
Wikipedia says:
While the Flintstones live in a world with machines powered by birds and dinosaurs, the Jetsons live in a futuristic utopia in the year 2062 (or 100 years into the future at the time) of elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms, and whimsical inventions.
The original incarnation of the series aired on Sunday nights on ABC from September 23, 1962, to March 3, 1963. It comprised 24 episodes, and was re-run on Saturday mornings for decades. At the time of its debut, it was the first program ever to be broadcast in color on ABC-TV; There were only a handful of ABC TV stations that were capable of broadcasting in color in the early 1960s. The Flintstones, while always produced in color, was broadcast in black-and-white for its first two seasons.
The continuing popularity of The Jetsons led to further episodes being produced for syndication between 1985 and 1987.
I picked the JETSONS...because I read how Newt Gingrich is promising a colony on the MOON by 2020!!

heehee...Judy Jetson, June Cleaver...all kinda cut from the same mold, no? As for Newt and the promised moon colony, maybe he can go live on it? ;)
Susan, you hit the Hot Button with me here. And we are to have a colony on the moon WHY????
I suggest that Newt head up that colony just to keep him out of our hair! I'm wonderin' if he'll take Barbie with him.
Your Jetson's post if very timely. I never realized that was the first show broadcast in color.
