Well,I finallydid it!!

Here is my very new, very wobbly-on-it's-legs blog!  I am a total blog virgin, so please bear with me.

Today, here in Ocean County,NJ we are preparing for a BIG blizzard. A Blizzard and Flood warning issued last night by The National Weather Service. This is unprecedented; to be announcing a warning more than 24 hours before a storm. So, I guess they are pretty confidant.  Washington, DC and Maryland will be hit the hardest.

Our nation's Capital is expecting 2 feet of snow, and this has only ever happened twice in recorded history.
We are expecting winds up to 60 MPH...can get scary...could lead to power outages. I am prepared with several candles, and new book lite (at least I can read). If the power remains on, I will be continuing my blog-hopping on "One World,One Heart".  In between I plan on working on some "inchies", ATCs and perhaps some baking!  I bought Pillsbury cut and bake sugar cookie dough, and Hershey chocolate mint kisses, topush into the centers of the cookies. Additionally I have the ingredients to make 2 more loaves of my traditional Cranberry Tea loaf.

Home Depot is expecting a shipment of snow throwers in sometime today..We just keeping missing them, and of course we have been a position of needing it a few times already. The worst was right before Christmas we had 24 inches of snow.hubby is 68 with Heart issues. I'm 49,with all 4 limbs compromised and spinal stenosis and Amanda is the only kid left here. Which means shoveling is a very slow and tedious job.  Please keep a good thought for us,and I will be doing the same for all of you this weekend.

Congratulations Susan! Good luck dealing with the blizzard. Here in toronto I've only had to shovel once this season -- and I could have used a broom. I'll be back soon to see what else you've been up to!
