An UPDATE, 2 cards today & info on a giveaway!

Hello a quick update:
MOM--in the rehab part of the hospital. She says yesterday was her best day so far! she sounds like herself :)
RON--Back to work, laser treatment done, vision slowly returning her is at about 80%
TOM-- still dealing with pain, I think he may have to see a urologist
ME--back to my "normal level" of pain, but having the increase in the wrist (as I have been) now sinuses acting up a bit not sure if it is a cold, sinus infection or just a bad bout with my allergies.
MANY, many THANKS for all the good wishes, prayers, thoughts and healing energy!!

Card stock and sentiment - STAMPIN' UP, German Scrap- COLLAGE STUFF, the digi image Flight of Fancy bu FLOPPY LATTE DESIGNS was printed on a transparency. I turned over for the shiny side out, so the image is reversed. It is mounted on a piece of paper towel that has dried water and twinkling H2O's all over it (from cleaning my aqua flow brushes)... I sooo LOVE how it came out! It is attached with brads from MAKING MEMORIES.

This shows that it is a transparency

Robyn's Fetish challenge #96

HELLO everyone! I am a day late with this post. Most of my followers know why. 
But just quickly:
My mom had a heart attack and is in the hospital, now in the rehab section to strengthen her  before going home.
My Husband lost sight in his right eye (I originally miss posted that it was his left eye) On Tuesday afternoon. 2 trips to the retinologist, laser treatment...going back to work tomorrow
Son; 2 trips to the ER in 3 days for a kidney stone...we think he finally passed it, but he is dealing with the inflammatory pain of the trauma the stone caused on it's travels.
In the middle of all this I had a trip to the "supposed" last WC doctor.
Due to hubs eyesight...I've been doing all the driving...Mom- 2 hours away. WC Doc almost 2 hours away.
to and from getting son on the night of his first trip to the ER...1 hour round trip.
TOO much in TOO short of a time period- my worst knee (gas and brake leg)  and the hand/wrist on the left and elbow on the right (not including neck and the impingement syndrome in both shoulders)
I was in severe pain for 2-3 days...I didn't even come on the puter much.

UPDATE!

Mom... several blockages found in her old grafts (she had 5 bypasses in 2001) a leaky heart valve, kidneys not working at 100%...all of this will be treated with meds, due to her age (85) she has now been moved to the rehab part of the hospital to strengthen her muscles and all before she goes home. I have not been able to get to see her  since my last visit

Ron, lost vision in right eye tuesday afternoon, we went to the retinologist on wednesday spent a large portion of the day there. There was too much blood for them to see anything and do anything.  sent home to let the blood get absorbed back into the body, til friday.

Thursday spent my day driving to and from the Hospital's WC doc 2 hours away (crap examination, and didn't even let me talk about all of my issues, just the hand/wrist and the elbow)

Thursday night after midnight, get a  call from my son who is CRYING (never happens)  come pick me up PLEASE, i drive to and from  the in/out GF to get son, who in forms me he spent most of the day in the local ER with a kidney stone, obviously inherited this from me, from mom. UGH! (this is his 3rd one)
Keep in mind I am doing ALL the driving due to hubs eye issue.

Friday...spent over 4 hours at the retinologist, for Ron to have his exam, (so painful just to watch) and then laser treatment.

we leave there it is now dark and POURING rain...so i am like trying to walk with my cane as fast as i possibly can (in pain) to get the car and pick up hubs at the building. I drive back to our area, go to the Supermarket to get Son's RX filled and something for dinner, and  some other stuff, while waiting for the RX to be ready.

finally home after 8pm...no lunch, missed all my afternoon meds.  KNEE and wrist/hand are bloody SCREAMING!!

bathroom. vicodin. couch.

then

stomach meds. computer. my dinner(after 10 pm)

back on computer using one hand (the left one is sooo bad even with brace and vicodin)

couch & TV. then went to sleep.

Today, 8am wake up, eat 2 slices of Irish Soda bread (yum) and take my first round of meds. lay back down.

10 am, woken by son, crying...mom i gotta go back to the hospital!   
I can not drive, my knee (gas and brake leg) and the wrist/hand (steering) are in no waay going to be able to do this again today.

so poor hubs with Better-But-Still-Not-100%-vision in one eye, has to take son. I make him promise me that he will go to the better hospital 40 minutes away, they do.

Just got call, he is better, they believe the severe pain he felt this am was the actually leaving of the body part  for the stone, and that he passed it upon going to the bathroom. they medicated him for the pain (dilaudid) and are sending him home with rx for pain and antibiotics. they did a CT scan and an ultrasound...no hydrophrenosis (backing up of urine into the kidney due to severe swelling of the ureter etc...i have been in this position...not good) so i am very happy to hear that!

I will hopefully get back to being able to spend more time at the puter soon.

more bad news

Once again this week, I have NO Alphabe-Thursday or Pagan Blog Prompt Thursday. Apologies.

My Mom is still in the hospital. She has some fluid retention around the heart, which is being treated with meds because her kidneys aren't at 100%. Her heart cath. showed some blockages in her old bypass grafts (she had 5 in 2001) and a bit of a leaky valve, both of which they are treating with meds. (meds are one of the things she fights the doctors tooth and nail on--so we'll see how this goes) I do not have further info at this point whether they are running any other tests, before sending her to the rehab unit to strengthen her before sending her home.

AND

Ron came home on Tuesday evening saying he couldn't see out of his left eye. (he has diabetic retinopathy)
we went to the retinologist yesterday...they can not see behind his eye, either manually or with the special camera. the retinologist thinks it is a large bleeder, and once some of the blood clears he'll be able to see better. so we go back tomorrow to see what's what, and he may have to have a laser treatment (ouch)

I am waiting for the 3rd thing to happen...though our son moved out (again) so that might be it.

I am off to see the last (hopefully) "opposition's doctor" for my WC case, today.  Please keep a good thought that her assessment is at least in the ball park of our doctors assessment.

Here is My creation

 The above is the best ANGLE of the card to see just enough of the shimmer from my TWINKLING H2O's that I used to color our little baby in a bonnet!

 The above shows the full on shimmer!

 This one you can't see the shimmer but all the colors are truer to themselves.

The rest of the description I'll add a bit later. (I will say the one pin that looks greenish, is the same color as the blue in the card stock)

just a quick piece of art

Something small I have worked on in between Mom and other stuff.
This is for the challenge this week over at SMUDGY ANTICS.

The theme is RED HOT!

I made a 4 X 4 (fat page/chunky page)

 The flame image is from the internet. The Devilish Heart digi is from SMEARED INK. The Red foil Gothic point German Scrap is from COLLAGE STUFF. The 3D plastic black flourishes with rhinestone are Jolees for EK SUCCESS, the Red Ribbon Roses are from "Dollarama" and rec'd as a RAK. The letter stamps are TECHNIQUE TUESDAY. I colored the Devilish Heart with PRISMACOLOR pencils, and I used Red Stickles by RANGER on the words "Love, Red and Hot". It says "Love should be RED HOT always"

(NOW, I can really see hot bad  the lighting is in my Living room, as the photos clearly show places I missed withe pencils, LOL...Please let me get a "steady work area" so I can actually USE my Ott Lite! LOL)

I am sorry I do not have a Thursday Pagan Blog Prompt, or Alphabe-Thursday post up, and I do not think I'll get a Pagan Blog Project post up (but maybe).

My Mom had a "mild" heart attack in the middle of the night Tuesday, so yesterday was a big phone day, and last night I was up and spent the evening with her.   She will be in the hospital til at least Monday. There was no damage to her heart muscle, YEA!!  but she doesn't look so good, BOO! She's 85, and seems like she has done all of her aging in the past few years. She looked jaundiced to me, so I'll be calling her doctor later on.

So a bit busier than usual. I have a doc appt for WC on Tuesday and I am on a tight dealine with a book that I have to review also.

Please keep a good thought, pray and or light candles for my Mom; Lenora.

This next item is a Shaker style gift bag:

 I took a lot of pics :) LOL

the bag is from A C MOORE (made by Nicole Manufacturing), the printed paper(frame) is from the digi set "Love Dreams" by BEARLY MINE DESIGNS, The Digi Image on the transparency is "Deep inside" by SMEARED INK, I used Crystal effects by STAMPIN' UP mixed with red re-inker for blood dripping in the back of the shaker, which sat over night friday, waiting for me to finish yesterday, but  do to my other commitments i didn't get back to it til last night--late, and then The bathroom and I were kind of cementing our relationship, LOL (Thanks IBS)  so it didn't get finished til this am...BUT at least I am on time! There are red seed beads, red glitter, clear with black inside seed beads, and burgundy micro beads for the shaker. (on the inside i covered all with a larger piece of white card stock, for (hopefully) ease of using the bag.  Lastly light pink bakers twine for the tag (made from the paper cut out of the frame :)
