Robyn's Fetish Challenge #128 - Circles

 Happy Sunday everyone!!
I hope all of you are doing fine, and enjoying good weather :)
we have had very close-together barometric changes with some rain here and there, overall mild, but the changes and my sinuses don't do well and this weekend I am dealing with a sore throat, I hope it disappears and isn't the sign of more to follow.

I also HOPE you'll stop to view my blog post from yesterday (above) for some fun!

This week over at
we are getting ready for the holiday a bit
by Playing with CIRCLES

The large plain circle punch is by E K SUCCESS, the large scalloped circle punch is by MARVY/UCHIDA. The sentiment was computer generated. The circles embossing folder is by CUTTLEBUG, the lovely OOAK round  fabric button brads are home made and were purchased at THE LITTLE RED COTTAGE on Etsy. The ribbon was received as a RAK. The pearls are by CREATIVE IMPRESSIONS and the printed paper is by DCWV.  I wanted to use my snow writer on the fluffy balls on their hats, but can not find it just now :(  when I do I will be adding it.

forgot to share...

a couple of cards I made for The Crafters Cafe open house the end of December.

I did a lot of the photography at night, so the colors are a bit off, which is why I'll be showing 2 images of each card.

First I made this Birthday card for my daughter's Boyfriend's birthday (Jan. 7)

The colors are a bit more accurate in the bottom picture.
The card base is a pre-made one by DCWV, in an indigo shade.  The brownish-burgundy and the blue floral brownish-burgundy were both scraps. I have no idea what company they are. It is colored with my STAMPIN' UP markers. The brads are from ADDICTEDTORUBBERSTAMPING. The digi image is from MO MANNING and the digi sentiment is from JEANNE'S CRAFTS. It is on foam dots raised above the scalloped circle punched with a STAMPIN' UP punch. The border punch/embosser is by Martha Stewart from EK SUCCESS.

Robyn's Fetish Challenge #90

Happy Sunday and Happy Martin Luther King's Birthday day!
(also my Late Father's Bday--he would have been turning 91, he died march 10, 2005...RIP Daddy!)

This week's theme is ANIMALS

Our sponsor is DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS

our images are from Robyn's Fetish though, I choose this adorable Elephant called "An Elephant never forgets"  I chose this image for 2 reasons...one it absolutely IS A DOR A BLE, but also it is a reigning joke in my family...That "I have the memory of an Elephant" and since I was also a bit bottom heavy (even when I was a size 5...25 years ago, LOL)  My dad would joke that I also had "The hips to match" (all of the women in his side of the family were bottom heavy and that is where it came from.  So I even say it about myself now...THUS my sentiment! LOL

I made my card be a bit on the CAS side, as I really didn't know how to dress up the elephant, and to be honest, I didn't want to take away from him, either.

Card base is a pre-made card base from DCWV, the printed paper is also DCWV (older), the organza and twine ribbon is older and from my stash, and the rosette was made with "Infinity Dots" regular border punch by EK SUCCESS. I then added a black button to it. I used Fruit punch Stickles by RANGER to highlight the rosette and here and there on the card. The elephant is colored with STAMPIN' UP markers.

I hope you like my card :) Thanks for visiting!

2 happy thoughts and hope cards

I have a online friend who was just recently DXed with Colon CA, and another that just got the news she if CA free finally (Breast CA)

so for their Holiday cards I used this FANTASTIC Ribbon Angel image from McMahon 5 designs
they give away a free ribbon image the 25th of every month...it is to help us to remember to DO our monthly self-breast exam. However of course there are many ribbons for many Cancers and Diseases, so these ribbons are quite versatile.

Without further comment, here are my two "Hopeful Holidays" cards

Both are made on pre-made Holidays cards from Last year by DCWV, I love the greenish aqua ones so much, I used a lot of them last year. The Breat CA one above I added a piece of torn paper I liked. Both images colored with BIC Mark Its!, then the images were cut out, and attached to the card, as well as the computer generated Sentiment. the I used all kinds of Stickles by RANGER.  Hubs liked them, so I am guessing that is a good thing, LOL!

the last 2 of the "12 days of Halloween"

Ok, these are OFFICIALLY the last 2 "Halloween" pieces you will be seeing on this blog for a very long time! LOL  I am kind of Halloween-ed out (I may make some more just because it is all out and handy, I MAY...but anything I make will NOT be getting posted this year.)

ok, so here is  day 11 and 12

it is 11 Casks-a-leanin' (My interpretation was to do caskets, after all it is for Halloween)
I was lazy and scanned them, sorry.  Remember I made all mine 4 X  4's to make a book.

Background "chandelier" paper which is embossed and shiny in spots is from DCWV, The 2 casket stamps are from BOMBSHELL STAMPS then I used Black Diamond and Xmas Red Stickles from RANGER on the crosses on the casket's, which are "leaning". Misc. metallic red ribbon is tied through a hole and has a bow with long ends hanging down.

now onto:

12 Bats-a-Flyin'

Background paper by PINK PAISLEE, stamp by CTMH (Halloween Dingbats). I used Black Diamond stickles on their eyes, and a red marker on the mouths, and around the edge of the 4 X 4
simple, but nice I think.

My  creations for the 12 days:
As I said these are all 4 X 4's and I will be binding it either on the bind-it-all, or with just a binder ring or 2.

Day 7: 7 pumpkins glowing. All 3 images by STAMPIN' UP, the 2 on the left are actually part of one big stamp, and the other from a completely different set. The yellow is card stock with 3 coats of Glow-in-the-Dark MOD PODGE. Back ground paper, unknown. the paper the pumpkins on stamped on: the 2 on the left--MY MINDS EYE, the other on CLOUD 9. The Black branches, leaves and crows are from EK SUCCESS for MARTHA STEWART.

Day 8:  8 Monsters shrieking!

I made 2 pockets-full-of-monsters. Background paper, and paper for pockets by DCWV. Wording "Pick-A-Pocket" computer generated, Transylvania Font. Tags by MAYA ROAD. Then I made my own set of 4 2-sided tags to hang off the side with AAHHH!! stamped on each side (giving 8 shrieks) that stamp is from VIVALASVEGASSTAMPS.  One regular large jump ring used and a black large jump ring by JUNKITZ. The tags have 1/8" eyelets on them. Of course I used my CROP-O-DILE.

Monsters: Snailion, Space Spider and Zombie dude all by RICK ST. DENNIS. Eyegore by BONIBLEAUX DESIGNS. Two Skelton-grim reapers by IKE'S WORLD. Angelika (Devil Doll) by STAMPINSANITY. Gumble (monster) by STRETCH n BUBBLES.

Day 9: 9 Ghosts-A-Booing

Stamp by STAMPIN' UP, Paper by DCWV, glitter foam stickers by CREATOLOGY. I used a fine line SHARPIE to make them all say BOO!

Even though I am sick, I am having fun making these!  :) Hope you all like them!

DAY 26- 31 Days of Halloween, Countdown to halloween, Real witches of Halloween

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN for the "HALLOWEEN PARTY" (hosted by A Fanciful Twist) post

Welcome to Day 26 of the 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN, as well as day 26 of the COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN, and Day 26 of THE REAL WITCHES OF HALLOWEEN.

Today's Halloween funny:

Today's creation is and will continue to be a work-in-progress, as it is, once again my Book of Shadows. The last page I showed you was the inside of the front cover. this is the facing page. In many books this is left blank, but not in a journal, not in a diary and certainly not in a BOS. You can click on any image to make it a bit bigger.

The book has 8.5" X 11" pages, so this background paper that is already printed with a pretty pink (almost magenta) border and mostly gray spider webs, some black web, black spider and hanging web line and 2 black candles is 12" X 12". I cut the paper down and fit it around the stamped image.
The stamp is "Beatrix" one of the "Steampunk Halloween" collection from SIMPLY BETTY STAMPS. I paper pieced her skirt, cape, pumpkins, and the cover of her BOS. Then I colored the rest in with PRISMA COLOR pencils, 2 thin tip sharpies (one is flesh tone, and the other very pale pinks...hands and face) and BIC Mark its! for her hair & book pages. I goofed on part of her cape, and accidentally cut if off, so I had to piece it back in.Again the pencil was a perfect match to the paper, but here it appears blue. :(
Ink on dark purple paper is tough! LOL

The paper used for piecing was from the same Seasons and Holidays pad by CLOUD 9 that I have been using, the candle paper is by DCWV (Midnight Spells Pad)
Once again, I had real issues with the purples...Her blouse is a lovely light lilac that goes so well with the deep purple of the skirt and cape, and I colored the upper part of the cape in and out of her hair with a perfectly matched pencil, but here it looks blue. UGH!!! I tried editing them to make them more "purple" and all that did was turn the bkgd. reddish. I gave up.
Once I was done piecing and coloring "Beatrix" I started putting the paper back together as best I could without making it look really bad. I wanted both candles in and as much of the border as possible. I then took a fine line black sharpie and connected lines from the mis-matched webs that were already on the paper. Then I started "doodling" things into the web have have something to do with Witchcraft, or Wicca or Paganism. I do not consider myself, Wiccan, more of a Neo-Pagan.
Anyway, then I used a silver sharpie to highlight spots around Beatrix's dark colors, and the candles. The spider seemed to get lost in the mix, so I did his hanging web and outlined his body
I plan on listing the other "Sabbats" and "Esbats" (Lunar cycled Holidays and equinoxes)somewhere in the web, as well as other appropriate items that should be noted in a BOS.
I am thinking I might add yellow-into-orange stickles on the candle flames, what do you think?
