THE GAME Challenge #4...HOPSCOTCH

Hello everyone, as you know my husband is in the hospital, well actually now he is in the convalescent center for in house PT. He starts today...YEA!!  I was planning on sitting this challenge out, as i am exhausted and due to the amount of driving and walking I am doing everyday, my pain level has been quite high in the knee, and back. However one of our other DT members had to sit this one out, so I didn't want us to be down by 2.

Anyway...

This Week at

THE GAME

we are playing 

HOPSCOTCH (with a twist of course)

You are to create something you can hang on the wall or a door, it must be no smaller than 4" X 4".

Write down the 8 items and toss them in a bowl (hat). 

Pick  out two from your hat (bowl). You will use those 2 items in that number. You of course, may use other items in your creation, but you MUST use the items you chose.

example:   you got 7 brads and 2 die-cuts, that means you must use 2 die cuts and 7 brads on your creation. Be sure to say what the items were that you chose, in your post.

Here is the Board:

The items I "drew" were: 2 die cuts and 3 textures. 
My wall hanging is 5" X 7"

 All the papers are digi papers from DEZINAWORLD, DIGI DESIGN RESORT and the third I can not remember (red flower) The stamps are CLOSE TO MY HEART.  I used Black Staz-on ink, because I used glossy paper...but it actually stuck to the paper, and pulled the color up with it as it finally let go...I have NEVER had this happen, I am thinking it is because it is a clear stamp and not rubber. So I had to line up the sentiment 3 times to get it dark enough, and sadly on the 3rd time, it moved.   so it was slightly double exposed, and then there was missing black...so i had to fill in with a sharpie. I am upset over it, but I'm keeping this so it doesn't matter much. (I am thinking of stamping it on blank paper trimming it and covering it up though...but that of course will take away from the background I think.

The same thing happened with the vine border, but I think it looks ok.

 Here are my 2 die cuts- Tattered Flowers Tim Holtz die for SIZZIX, I embossed each one with a different embossing folder (2 of my 3 textures)

The 3rd texture is paint that I mixed with crushed lava rock gel medium, I dabbed it on instead of brushing it on to make it lumpy also...so there is 2 textures in 1, HA!

Head space, sick cat and 2 pieces of art

Well, I am dealing with some bad crap right now...I AM  THE QUEEN OF MURPHY'S LAW!  well anyway, I do not want to discuss it right now, cause it really PISSES ME OFF, and I am trying to turn things around. If that EFFING HAPPENS, then I'll talk about it.

I have literally been in the same sweats or nightgown from last Friday night til this morning, and basically didn't do anything but a little web surfing, TV watching and sleeping. I've been in a really dark place plus, super anxious!

I am still quite under the grips of my depression, and still anxious, just not as bad. I think my cat having a bad abscess and me trying to deal with it on my own (hot compresses and trying to drain it) have made me get out of my own head space a little bit.

Today I took her to my vet. I have been going to the same vet since I was 16 and THANK GOODNESS...as he let me come w/o paying...I'll pay on Jan 4th when I take her back for her overall exam and shots. He shaved a large area around the spot, and gave her her rabies vaccine, even though hers is still good for a few months, he said better safe than sorry.  The Doctor gave her a shot (Thank goodness) of antibiotics that will be in her system for 2 weeks (I freaking HATE trying to give cats medicine!!) Then he FREAKED me out, and told me, to be on the look out for any movement under the skin around the "hole" as it may NOT be a tooth hole from her cousin. The doctor says there is this kind of fly that has grown in numbers recently, and stays alive longer than it used to...it will bite an unsuspecting animal and then turn around and drop it's eggs or whatever into the "hole" it made. I said that is a big hole, he said it didn't start out that big, it is because of swelling. it may just be a incisor tooth hole, but it could be this fly. FREAKING AWESOME, just something else to look forward to, fly larvae growing under my cat's skin! ARRRGH gross!!
Ok, let's get off this ride...

over the last 2 days I have made 2 pieces of art, and started 2 others. This first one is a 4 X 4 I made for the challenge over at SMUDGY ANTICS     "Mourning Glory" =  graves... and as usual, some stamps of some kind, and try to use a SMEARED INK stamp.

I used a collage image of mine of 2 old graves, and 2 digi stamps by SMEARED INK, the broken winged heart and the word Broken that goes with it. I used them twice, and used foam dots under one set on top of the other. Coloring with BIC Mark its! and red German Scrap from COLLAGE STUFF.

This next one is my VERY FIRST double Easel card! I made it for the Technique Junkies  fun folds CD Blog Hop! By trying this technique and adding it to Pat's blog (the owner) you give yourself another shot at the grand prize!  part of that prize is a LIFETIME TJ membership!  WOOT!!!

 Bakery twine in purple from my stash. Plastic snowflakes by FAVORITE FINDINGS. I used Silver Stickles by RANGER on 3 of them, and I used Sugar Coating chunky glitter by DOODLEBUG DESIGNS on 2 of them.

Today's creation is a card, a large square card to be precise.

 Card stock by STAMPIN' UP, Background papers both by MY MIND'S EYE, the haunted house is enamel embossed and glittery, the picture below gives a good look.  The little witch is a digi image from RICK ST. DENNIS. I used BIC Mark Its! to color, and made the path from her house. The digi sentiment is from TLC CREATIONS. The muted orange flowers are from PRIMA MARKETING. The blue flowers are variegated silk ribbon, that I made into flowers myself, and tied a bow out of a piece under the top flower.

DAY 15- 31 Days of Halloween, Countdown to halloween, Real witches of Halloween

My post for ALL HALLOWS GRIM, which is actually 3 posts (3 parts of a story) is 2 posts down.

Welcome to Day 15 of the 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN, as well as day 15 of the COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN, and Day 15 of THE REAL WITCHES OF HALLOWEEN.

 Well, here we are at the half way point. You know what that means. You don't? Well it means CANDY of course!  This is Halloween season, so there has to be some mystery, right? So, I will not be telling you what the candy is, but I will tell you there is some REAL candy as part of it, chocolate as a matter of fact. The winner will be chosen tomorrow, and announced at the end of the month. (the reason for this, who can guess?.....well, if I am having a half-way candy, I guess I am having a finished candy as well) How do you win, you want to know? I'll tell you. The single individual who has commented the most on all of my 31 days of Halloween posts(which are also my countdown to Halloween posts) wins! DAY 11- 31 Days of Halloween, Countdown to halloween, Real witches of Halloween

Welcome to Day 11 of the 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN, as well as day 11 of the COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN, and Day 11 of THE REAL WITCHES OF HALLOWEEN.

Sadly, I've been feeling pretty crappy and today my son had to go to the ER with a kidney stone. We think he finally passed it.  My "Pretty" has been not herself for over 24 hours either, and today vomited. so it is a "mini house of horrors" here...included a possessed fly or 2.

Do any of you watch Criminal Minds?  did you see the last episode?  NOW that is some scary $hit! who needs a cheesy hockey mask and fake blood! damn.

Anyway today's card is another in GREEN, a few of you have found me out and know that I like green!
